Iceland 2002-2006
These pictures are a "blast from the past" - taken on analog slides, mostly on Fuji Velvia 50. They are from Bernhard and my travels to Iceland from the years 2002 to 2006.
We were there trekking, hiking and driving four different cars: a small Peugeot 206, a Landrover Freelander. a Mahindra and a - hired - Suzuki Jimny.
To start with: this is my favorite region in Iceland - it's a world were everything is upside down as it seems: green mountains and deep black valleys, just beneath two huge glaciers. The green mountain is called Mælifell and it is surrounded by the Mælifellssandur.
